Badland Stills
The Badland Stills were produced in March 1994 during an extended coast to coast driving trip generated by a Dozier Travel Grant from the Dallas Museum of Art. I have at times taken wildlife trophies back our into the environment to capture the irony of killing the most beautiful animals to exhibit human dominance over nature.
My old four legged companion, Deb, accompanied me on the epic six week coast to coast journey. At 16 years of age, Deb, was able to swim in both oceans. She died suddenly and very happy, I think, a few weeks after we returned to Dallas.
