human skull series

Notes:
A friend commented that artists draw the eye sockets of skulls as black voids while scientific illustrators illustrate the inside of the socket. That thought stuck and the eye within the sockets merged.
The drawn image came from holding the skull and realizing how difficult keeping it still was. So I photographed it at a slow shudder speed and used those images to draw from - one more step removed.
A quick characterization of death as blur.
