Hello
My name is Guy King and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have lived here my whole life (45 years) and continue to love it here.
As far as darts go I am the definition of newbie. I have been keeping them almost 4 months and try very hard to not make any mistakes. I like to give my darts a nice variety of food and nice variety of plant life to live amongst. My favorite plants include calatheas, alocasia, nerogelia fireballs ( i got one that just sent out a pup right now and i am very excited), and some syngoniums. I have not tried any philodendrons or pothos, but plan to include some in my next viv. As far as the frogs I would love to get some D. Pumilio "blue jeans", D. Reticulatus, and some red galacs. I currently am keeping D. Azureus and D. Tinctorius
"Brazilian Yellowhead". These two frogs are quite amazing and I feel they best represent dart frogs. When people see my frogs they can't believe it, because they have never seen them before. We don't even have them at the Indianapolis Zoo. I got into darts after my 20 year old son Jace bought some from Black Jungle. He currently still lives at home and we keep the frogs here. He is about to move out and will probably take the Azureus with him. He has posted on frognet a few times, but stays pretty busy. When he moves out he will get his own computer and will probably stop lurking on mine. Me and him got his friend into dart frogs and his friend is going to build a tank by the end August. I think he plans on putting Green and Bronze Auratus from quality exotics in Michigan. So we are building a little Indy Frog Group and hope to move on from just three members. The group will allow us to attain more pairs and feed a larger variety of insects to our frogs. If you live in the Indianpolis area and would like to join our informal group with nothing more than a handshake to ensure partnership in mutual goals then send me a line at guyking@insightbb.com .
