Elizabeth "Beth" Merritt, director of the Future if Museums asked me to: "create an installation on the future of natural history museums, and the influence of natural history museums on the future of the earth." for the American Museum Association national meeting. So in response I made, Helix/Scaffolding #21211, a double helix of scientific vessels interconnected by a scaffolding of chemistry lab equipment.
