My name is Scott MacDonald. I'm a frogger. I've *always* been a frogger. I think many of us in this hobby are. On vacations all the other kids would be out swimming or fishing. I'd be out looking for frogs.

I was never allowed to keep frogs as a kids. This was a good thing as I'd most likely have killed them. But I never, ever, lost my passion for frogs and aquariums.

I was stuck in a lousy job back when the Internet was turning into a really useful place to find information on everything/anything. I decided to do the research to build myself what I called a "Three-dimensional aquarium" (water/land/air). While doing the research I learned that these were called Vivariums. I also learned that many of the NUTS that built vivariums kept Poison Dart Frogs. Search for Vivariums and you're most likely going to find Frog Nuts (like us).

Anyhow... my first reaction was "are they nuts"? But I read, and I read, and I read some more (like I said, the job was *really* boring). I found FrogNet and joined (this would be 6+ years ago). I found a local frogger (John Bohrman who now runs www.herpsupplies.com) who helped me through the trials and tribulations of keeping PDFs.

John and I made a day trip down to the Baltimore Aquarium where we met up with Brian Monk and Curtis Olson. We got the full tour... and I brought home my first Poison Dart Frogs! 3 E. tricolors from Brian.

Anyhow... 6+ years later and I've been to every IAD. I'd really like to get out on the road and get to more gatherings, but it is rather tough as my family (my wife Theresa and my step-kids (geez I hate that word) Kelly and Michael) gets first shot at my free time.

I have met a number of you in person and I'm hoping to meet even more of you in the future!

I'm sure I'll think of something else to add as time goes along, but this will suffice for now.

Yours in frogdom,

Scott MacDonald
