My name is Sarah, I live in Northwest Washington State in the US. I rescue and rehabilitate reptiles and amphibians with the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society. I've been a frog lover and semi-collector for all of my waking life. I'll include my current animal list at the end of this post.
I don't breed herps but I do keep them as pets, keep them as outreach animals for working with children and fearful adults, and rehab sick herps to place in new homes. I've been in rescue for only a handful of years. I currently have some exciting snake eggs on the way, but I assure you it was purely incidental. :)
I'm currently studying to be a veterinary technician with a hope to focus on herps. I may not work in the vet field in the long run, I have dreams of being a research scientist in the reptile/amphibian field. I also enjoy studying taxonomy and field herping.
I'm employed as a manager at one of the largest commercial pet store chains in america. I went to work for them to move out of the computer industry and into the animal field, and to make a difference in the lives of the animals sold in the store and the people who care for them. So far, so good. :)
My other primary interests include all things outdoorsy (living in the northwest makes it easy to be a nature lover) and body modification.
Hopefully I'll find plenty to learn here and enjoy the group dynamics!
Regards,
fr0glet
