I use:
1 Part spirulina (pure)
1 Part chlorella (pure)
2 Parts Tetra "rich mix"
I mix them all together and make a paste and then "re-flake" it. I typed
out the whole process in a frognet post in January.
I also feed my tadpoles via the "easy measure spice dispenser" a handy dandy
little kitchen gadget that holds the tadpole flakes and can dispense 1/4 tsp
or 1/8 tsp with a single click (for small tads there is a "pinch" option)
As for rearing containers I have come to the following procedure after a bit
of observation and experiementation.
All tincs (French Guiana dwarf, Powder Blue, and Cobalt) are raised in 12 oz
yogurt containers filled to near the top. Auratus are put into trios with
their clutchmates in 32 oz (1 quart) yogurt container. If for example there
is 5 in a clutch 3 get raised in a group and the remaining 2 get raised as
tincs do. Also in a pinch for space (or containers) I raise the above
mentioned tads individually in 3 oz containers. I use distilled water with
oak leaf extract added (3 oz to 2 quarts water). Oak leaf extract is made
by boiling a bag of crushed oak leaves (quercus rubra) in a quart of water.
The auratus tads in a group have their water changed every week minimum,
the tincs or individual auratus tads in the 12 oz containers have their
water changed if necessary.
