My name is Matthew Mirabello I am 23 and I have been on the list since the summer of 1998. In 2 weeks I will be beginning graduate school at Cornell studying Tropical Forest soil chemistry (Brent thanks again for all of your help). I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in January of 2003 with a dual major in Biology and Chemistry. While there I did some research on poison frogs. Specifically on tadpole pattern variability and what influences it in dendrobates auratus. I have not completed my research yet but have some really interesting results. My first dart frogs were a trio of Hawaiian auratus purchased on Feb 2nd 1997. My present collection includes galactonotus (para red, orange, yellow), tinctorius (Powder blue, french guiana dwarf, cobalt), auratus (blue, nicaraguan, panama turquoise, hawaiian), femoralis (thanks Tracy), leucomelas, truncatus (green/yellow), and azureus. I share the collection with Derrick Wright, who is still an undergrad at Geneseo. My interests are in ecology, computer models, chemistry, botany, inorganic chemistry, and natural history. I do not consider myself a pro or an expert, but I do feel the nature of my posts has changed over the past 5 years (hopefully for the better). For those that know me, have I forgotten anything?
