Hi, First let me give you a little history about myself. I've been keeping frogs for about 18 years now and Dendrobatid frogs for about 16. I edited the old International Society for the Study of Dendrobatids Newsletter (ISSD) for the last three years of its existance. After that, with my friend Terry Chatterton, we started the American Dendrobatid Group Newsletter which ran for 9 years. It seems with the growth of the internet a printed newsletter wasn't that interesting so it folded in 2000 (its still available at http://www.hylaweb.com/frogday). But that's OK because my real job (Molluscan Paleontologists with the U.S. Geological Survey) is taking up more of my time and it was getting difficult to keep up with the ADG Newsletter. Maybe after I retire I'll start it up again and see how it does then. I also run FrogDay each year in San Jose, California on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Hope to see you there.

I keep somewhere between 50 and 150 frogs depending on how much breeding is going on. If the frogs are breeding I'll be interested in trading, especially for unusual orchid, ferns, or other strange plants. If you'd like to trade I can be reached at powell2@sbcglobal.net. I also keep a fair selection of rarer geckos and a few colubrid snakes and again am interested in trading.

I've been very happily married for 25 years (August, 2003) to Barbara and we have four kids; Danny and Charlie who are 18 (identical twins), Sara who's 15, and Teresa who is 12. They are a great family. I'm also very involved with my church Blossom Valley Bible Church.
