Hello All! My name is Ben. Every one says something like "I have been
a lurker here for a while," and so I feel the same can be said for my
self. I have really enjoyed reading everything on frognet. I am always
disappointed when the big frog shows roll around because it gets very
quiet on frognet.
So I am 22 years old, and living in Huntsville Alabama. Now mind you I
just moved here 6 months ago from Colorado. I always get "Why did you
move to Alabama?!?!" Even from the people who live here. If thats not
scary I don't know what is. You really do need a passport to come
here. Anyhow, I have been keeping reptiles and amphibians (and all
kinds of other things that breath) for many years. I joined the
Colorado Herp Society when I was 13, and tried to make it to the
meetings for over a year. I have a very well founded respect for
reptiles and amphibians. Right now I have only a few turtles and a
bunch of dart frogs. I have some mint terribilis that sing to me all
day (and sometimes night) long. I have auratus, lucs, tincs, azurues,
and some thumbnails. I have had success breeding everything I have
except the thumbnails. When I first got into darts 2 years ago I saw
the need for automation, so I wrote a computer program to control
everything. My frogs have over run my house, and so I am building a
building just for them. Once this is done (8 weeks the contractor tells
me... work has already started) my dream is to build large enclosures to
put large quantities of darts in to create a very cool forest.
Anyhow, I guess I could sum it up to "Hello!"
