Hello everyone,

I'd like to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Ben and was first introduced to dart frogs one day when I visited a petstore in NJ at age 21. They were the most amazing things I've every seen. I had no idea you could keep them as pets. I later found the frognet. I was a member of frognet a long time ago, back in 97, but after getting my frogs and heading back to college I dropped out. I recieved 2 D. auratus back then and kept them for about 2 years before job related travel forced me to pass them to others.

Time has went on and a few career changes have brought me back to New York City where I grew up. I am now an Arborist at Brooklyn's flagship city park and doing what I studied and enjoy, taking care of trees.

I have been looking at getting back into frogs and again chose Dart frogs. After re-learning some thing and learing some new things I'm again in love. This time with 0.0.4 D. tinctorius (cobalt) that I got just a few days ago from Matt Mirabello. (they are doing wonderful so far) I would love to get to the same level of frog-keeping as Matt and some of you. But a small Brooklyn apartment will keep it slow for now, besides it will take about a year for them to mature.

It's good to see a few people not far from me keeping frogs maybe we can start up a NYC frog society??
